Aubergine '72 911E Coupe

Submitted by PhilGarner on Thu, 01/15/2009 - 08:45

Year: 1972
Colour: Aubergine
Model: 911E
Chassis: 9112200129

PGC 695K was originally a French car, bought in Paris by a Dr. Frank Calachi, who in 1980 moved to London and registered the car in the UK, where it was given a suitable age-related plate.

I have owned the car since 2000, the previous owner kept it in a barn on a farm and didn't really seem to know how to fix its problems. The brakes suffered from binding, it backfired badly when warm and didn't give full throttle due to a poorly adjusted linkage. Most of that has been fixed but the MFI is still far from perfect.
